HMA Structure Network

From HMA Wiki

Description

The HMA Structure Network is a network of structures owned and operated by the Hek Mining Assocation corporation and made available at no additional cost to participating members. To participate, corporations would need to either contract an unanchored structure or transfer ownership of an anchored structure to the Hek Mining Association corporation. This program is currently on hiatus due to our inability to rally sufficient pilots to maintain our defense.

Purpose

The purpose of the HMA Structure Network is to allow independent corporations access to a structure facilities without being burdened by maintaining and defending said structures.

Challenges

  1. Finances. As with most HMA programs, the HMA Structure Network is run at a net loss. However, the cost can be subsidized by fees charged to non-members as well as donations from the HMA community.
  2. Defense. In order to maintain structures, it is necessary to be able to defend them in the event of war declarations. Ideally, defense of these structures is coordinated by the Rogue Corps corporation with participation by the members of the HMA. Historically, while we have been able to pull a surprising number of pilots we have been unable to compete with dedicated PvP alliances.
